Description

While frail indeed when compared to the European left, America's indigenous left has produced a rich literature of protest. Platforms, manifestoes, letters, essays, poetry, music, cartoons, film, fiction, journal articles, and ephemeral pieces have served to critique the establishment of the day. The literature examined will be that produced between the 1870s and the 1970s.
