Description

Goal: To study operating systems concepts, implementations, and management tools.
Content: Operating systems history, internal functions (processes, threads, deadlocks, memory management, I/O, file systems), management issues (administration, security), and extended topics such as multimedia and distributed systems.
Prerequisites: CIS 212
Taught: Spring.
Credit: 3 hours.
