Wesleyan College Nursing Program requires a background check and drug screening for admission. Failure to be honest in the completion of the application questions (below) regarding prior conviction may result in an honor code violation and could result in dismissal from the program.
As a nursing student, you will be required to provide documentation of the following; satisfactory completion of health requirements including a complete health history, current physical examination, current immunizations (measles, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, and influenza), and tuberculosis screening, a criminal background report and drug screening, at your own expense. If criminal background report and drug screening is required by the clinical agency to which you are assigned, results will be reported to the clinical agency. If the clinical agency finds the results of the drug screening or criminal background check to be unacceptable, the Wesleyan College Nursing program may not be able to provide further educational experiences, which could impede the student's progression and completion of the nursing degree. The Wesleyan College catalogue has additional information about clinical requirements.
