A completed application file for the MAT program includes:

• Online application form

• Official transcripts from the institution(s) from which a bachelor’s degree was earned

• Evidence of being a current elementary teacher of record, such as:

  • Letter from principal

  • Letter from the district

  • Current contract

• One letter of professional reference from an individual who can speak to the applicant’s professional capabilities and potential for success in the program

• Interview with the Director of the MAT Program or the director’s representative

• Official transcript from the institution in which a Bachelor's degree was earned. In order for the transcripts to be considered official, they will need to be requested and sent from your previous institution directly to Wesleyan

• One letter of recommendation

• A copy of a valid professional teaching certificate or evidence of having been the teacher of record in a classroom for at least two years

• Applicants must have either a bachelor's degree from a United States college/university or foreign college/university, and an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4 point scale. An applicant from a foreign country must have a minimum TOEFL score of 550
